Horned giants

The skeletons were reported to be at or above 7 feet (2.1 m) in height, possessing skulls that had horn-like protuberances just above the eyebrows. The skulls were claimed to have been lost, misplaced, or stolen while en route to the American Investigation Museum. Neither Donehoo, Skinner, nor Moorehead described the discovery of any human skeletons at Sayre exhibiting gigantism or horned protrusions in their official excavation reports in the 1880s. The horned skulls were never found and the urban legend has since grown into a popular children's book and TV show of the same name, which is based on the same urban legend as the Sayre skeletons. The Horned Skull was reportedly discovered by the then-state historian, Dr. G.P. DonehOO, and two visiting professors, A.B. Skinner and W.K. Moorehead while excavating a burial mound. The skull was never found, and the legend has become a children's TV show and a book of its own, which are both about the same time and place as the skeletons were discovered in Sayre. The "Horned Skull" was never discovered and the myth has grown out to be a popular TV series of the 1980s and 1990s, with a cast of several actors playing the role of the horned giants in the show.
